Apple looses iPhone Facebook app developer from News

Joe Hewitt, renouned for developing one of the best Facebook mobile applications on the market, has stated that he will no longer be developing the Facebook application for iPhone.  Through his blog, Joe has stated his frustration with Apple’s review process time and time again. And when his Three20 library, a development library he created to help other developers was flagged for using private frameworks, he threw in the towel, handing off the Facebook application to another developer and ceasing work on the iPhone.  Maybe we’ll get lucky and Joe will wander over to the Windows Mobile world and provide us an iPhone application that actually contains a fully featured live feed.  I’m sure the folks at XDA Developers would welcome him.
