Google identifies pictures taken on phones from Random Bits

Google has released a lot of innovative products over the years, but Google Goggles may be the closest one to something we can call a sixth sense application.  We’ve seen lots of sixth sense devices at TED conferences that would purportedly identify objects in front of you, but Google has accomplished this on a large scale.  Utilizing an Android phone and Google’s robust image database, Goggles finds information on whatever is in front of your phone, even live through a live video mode.

Monetizing this technology should also be easy, as Google can use the same search algorithms from their website to serve up the appropriate paid results to consumers.
