Using the X-Box Kinect for 3D Video from Random Bits

Oliver Kreylos has done some pretty amazing things with Microsoft’s new X-Box Kinect.  If you’re unfamiliar with the connect, it is a motion gaming system much like the Nintendo Wii, except it users lasers to track your body in 3D space, removing the need for any game controllers.

In the above video, Oliver shows us how advanced the Kinect really is by place two of them at 90 degree angles, and capturing a full 3D scene that he can pivot in any direction without moving the two Kinects.
