Measuring just 0.2 inches wide, David Smith has built the world’s smallest operating train.  It contains a functional five car train that passes around a field and through a tunnel in a mountain.  To really see how small this is, watch the end of the video, around 1:50, where he shows the operating train held by a finger and thumb.
